Is it too early to think about chuckin events in 2016? I am seeing a nice growth in regional contests throughout the country. How can we work together to minimize overlap on contest dates? Most contest sites are limited by land availability, weather, and/or harvest schedules. Please share your thoughts....

It's never too early to talk about 2016! I know of only 2 events with set dates right now (Texas Chunk and New Hampshire Extreme Chunkin), but I'll start the list. Most events seem to fall in October, due to what I would assume is a desire to throw pumpkins and thus the need to align with the harvest schedule for those events. That leave 4-5 weekends to work with, and overlap is bound to happen. This year the 17th/18th seemed to be the big weekend.

Thanks, I'll add this to the stickied thread at the top of this forum.
I'm keeping ears out on a few events that are still up in the air as to final dates, but I'll be posting those as I hear them. Anyone else that knows of a hurling event with set dates for 2016, let me know so I can keep the list current!
