Simulation Software

Post by Melvang »

For simulations of new designs, what software seems to be popular?

Working Model 2D has been the norm. Not free, and even the student version is (or rather was the last I looked) a bit pricey. I know of at least 2 teams that have written their own sim for their specific designs using Python or similar. Way beyond my skill level!

Hey Melvang. If your building a trebuchet, I have used virtual trebuchet. It works pretty decent for a free online simulator. www.virtualtrebuchet.com

Unfortunately Working Model 2D is a bit pricey. It's the best though, from anything I've had the opportunity to use anyway.
